How It Works

Blind Dating flips the script on traditional dating apps. Instead of swiping on photos, you match with people based on who they actually are — their personality traits and core values.

When you sign up, you complete a short personality quiz (based on the Big Five model) and answer a few values questions. We use those results to find people you're genuinely compatible with. You can see their profile — name, bio, personality summary — but not their photo. Not yet.

Photos are revealed once you and a match reach a meaningful connection score through real conversation. The idea is simple: build a real connection first, and let the attraction follow naturally.

Your match percentage is based on two things: personality compatibility and shared values.

For personality, we compare your Big Five trait scores (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism) with a potential match's scores. Research consistently shows that certain trait combinations tend to work well together in relationships, and we use that to inform compatibility.

For values, we look at whether you and a potential match are aligned on things that really matter long-term — like whether you want children, how you think about money, your approach to personal growth, and the role of religion or spirituality in your life.

The combined score gives you a picture of how likely you and another person are to click beyond the surface level.

The connection score measures how much genuine effort you and a match have put into getting to know each other. It grows as you have real conversations — longer, thoughtful messages, asking questions, and staying engaged over time all contribute.

One-word replies and ghost-and-come-back patterns don't move it much. Actual conversation does. It's designed to reward the kind of interaction that actually builds a connection.

Photos are revealed when your connection score with a match reaches a set milestone. There's no fixed number of messages or days — it's about the quality and depth of your conversations, not just the quantity.

When you both hit the milestone, you'll each get a notification and the photo reveal happens simultaneously. Neither person sees the other's photo first.

Subscriptions & Billing

Blind Dating uses access passes rather than recurring subscriptions. You can purchase a 30-Day Access Pass ($7) or a 6-Month Access Pass ($30) as a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store or Google Play.

These passes are non-renewing — when they expire, they simply expire. You'll never be automatically charged again without choosing to purchase another pass.

There's nothing to cancel. Because our passes are non-renewing, there's no subscription to manage and no recurring charge waiting in the background.

Your pass simply expires at the end of its period, and you decide whether you'd like to purchase another. You can manage any in-app purchases through your App Store or Google Play account settings as usual.

Your Account & Privacy

Go to Settings → Delete account in the app. Tap the button, confirm your choice, and your account will be permanently deleted — including your profile, photos, messages, personality data, and match history.

This action is irreversible, so make sure you're ready before confirming. If you have an active pass, the remaining time will not be refunded (see Apple's or Google's refund policy for that).

Only your city name is ever shown to other users — never your exact address or GPS coordinates. We use approximate location to help surface matches who are geographically close to you, but the precise data stays private.

Yes. Tap the (three-dot menu) icon in any conversation or on any profile to find the block and report options. Blocking someone removes them from your matches and prevents further contact. Reporting sends a flag to our team for review.
